About the Faculty

Dr. Samar Kumar Saha joined the department in the year 2005. He has obtained his masters degree from Visva-Bharati (1989) and his doctoral degree from University of Calcutta (1997). Before joining the department he worked as a senior grade lecturer at the Darjeeling Government College (1998-2005) and at Hoogly Mohsin College (2005). He also was the Assistant Director of Fisheries, WBFS (1997-1998). His research area of interest includes Aquatic Parasitology, Fish Biology and Developmental Biology.
